Nutbar, a health food restaurant located at 425 Adelaide St W Suite 101, Toronto, has quickly become a favorite among locals seeking nutritious yet delicious options. Customers rave about its matcha lattes, widely regarded as the best in the city, thanks in part to their house-made nut milk, affectionately called Barmilk. Vanessa S describes the cafe as a prime spot for leisurely snacking, emphasizing the quality of smoothies and baked goods, like the scrumptious super bites.
Beyond drinks, Nutbar offers a range of organic meals. From wholesome toasts to hearty soups—such as the popular roasted bell pepper and tomato variant highlighted by Anna M—the menu caters to various cravings while maintaining a focus on health. This small cafe has an inviting atmosphere, perfect for a quick meal or a chat with friends, creating an ideal local gathering spot.
What stands out is Nutbar's commitment to authentic health-centric values. Marta Bielak appreciates the educational aspect of the offerings, allowing patrons to explore superfoods like Spirulina and Sea Moss. Overall, Nutbar is a hidden gem for those looking to indulge in wholesome food without sacrificing taste, making it a must-visit for any health enthusiast in Toronto.

Hidden gem. A small almost secret place where the neighbourhood locals go. They’re known for their smoothies and juices but they also serve toasts, salads, bowls, soups, aside from their healthy bars and cookies. I tried their roasted bell pepper and tomato soup with croutons and it was delicious. Even better, it’s all organic! I can’t wait to return and try their toast and other food and drink products. They also have candles and other wellness products for sale.

Best matcha in the city! If you're a matcha drinker, you know it can be hit or miss depending on where you go—but Nutbar has perfected the matcha latte. I’ve never had one here that disappointed! I also love their smoothies, sandwiches, and chia puddings. It’s a great spot to grab a quick snack or catch up with a friend over coffee or matcha. Plus, they’re one of the few places in the city that serves their own homemade nut milk (Barmilk), which is absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for a cafe that serves their own nut milk (not from a generic brand) and has the best matcha in the city, this is the place to go. And the vibe is on point!

Nutbar is 100% by guilty pleasure! Yes, it can be pricy, but deam it’s worth it. For sure the best matcha I’ve EVER had, and I truly believe it’s because of their own house made nut milk. I always go for their Super Matcha, delicious both hot or cold. And when I feel like it I treat myself with one of their small super bites where I can recommend them all.

It’s not everyday that you find a cafe where healthy living is a genuinely core value. Saying that I love Spirulina and Sea Moss is also never awkward here! If you are looking for a warm superfood cafe where you can both sip and learn at the same time –don’t miss this cozy wonder on Adelaide.

Quick, fresh, modern, great choices. Just like its name suggests, everything does have nuts. We tried the toasts and oatmeals and they were all good. Specifically liked the fresh toast, mushroom toast, and omg oats best. Nice place for a quick healthy meal or snack.

Great acai bowl with a perfect ratio of toppings to smoothie, one of the best in the area actually. I really enjoyed it! The only thing I wish for is a different type of bowl instead of a cup, just for easier eating. Overall, still a tasty and satisfying treat! I kinda felt it was a bit pricy, wish it was like a 1 cheaper lol.

Was able to attend the soft opening it was so great! Enjoyed the acai bowl it was so so delicious - their homemade nut butter on top was incredible! Love that they have vegan options! The space is absolutely beautiful, small seating area - but I’m sure they have free wifi if needed. Would recommend - I’ll definitely be back!
